Established in 1996, Pinnacle Care, Inc. was formed between Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center (now Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg) and members of its medical staff to provide quality health care services to the residents of Southeast Kansas at a competitive cost. 

Pinnacle Care has approximately 180 active providers and continues to grow.

Physician Hospital Organization

To enable Via Christi Hospital Pittsburg, Inc. and their affiliate acute hospitals (owned or a critical access network affiliation and supporting hospital designation) in southeast Kansas and southwestern Missouri and physician members of their medical staffs, who provide health care related services and meet credentialing requirements of the Corporation to effectively provide health care services to managed care and other purchasers of health care services in the region while also providing available management, administrative, and other services to physicians who are members of the Corporation.

Our credentialing program ensures all participating physicians and practitioners are measured and evaluated by definable and consistent criteria in accordance with the requirements of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  We maintain outstanding scores on our annual credentialing audits conducted by the health plans.
